A sub-tropical shrub, native to the Americas, Africa, Egypt and India. Cotton has been cultivated to be spun into yarn for woven textile production since pre-historic times. The tickings were chosen for use as furniture linings and also for use as curtains and walling in bathrooms/bedrooms.
